A New Beginning

You have arrived! Welcome to the beginning of the new and improved you. Nothing happens overnight and it will take time but you should be proud because you are on the right track.

Take a deep breath because we are diving right in.


No matter how your journey got you here, the important thing is that you are.

Chronic pain be it emotional, metal or physical; IT HURTS! They do not call it chronic because it goes away easily. NEWS FLASH it is called chronic because it often doesn't go away. That does not mean you are doomed for the rest of your life to be chained to your bed, with heating pads or in a medicated comma. It means you need to learn how to live with it. There is a difference between living to survive and LIVING. All you need to do is determine what you want. Do you want to survive, or do you want to THRIVE?

The expression goes "I was blind but now I see." I was once blind. I was living

my life the way I thought others wanted me to live. I needed to fit in. I feared the judgment of others not realizing the person that was judging me the most was ME!

I spent years lost. Then one day I stopped and realized how much I was hurting myself.

I learned I had to forgive what is out of my control and focus on what is.

It was time to Heal Not Just Deal!

Pain changes a person. Be it physical, metal or both. If you live in denial long enough you may forget who you are.

Maybe you are here because you already have...

Don't worry, you will find who you are. I had a professor in college that explained the average person will have five jobs in their life time before they find their career and even then, they will change their career path at least once.

All this means is that you are normal already. Life is not definite or guaranteed. Things happen and as humans we adjust for what is presented to us.

Your New Beginning starts now!

Get comfortable and relax. Take a deep breath and slowly release.

As you release that breath I want you to let go. Let go of all your worries. Let go of the past. The past is over. You cannot go back in time and change it so don't let it stop you from your future. Let go what you cannot control. Let go of every person that was mean to you, every bad thought, every ache, let it go.

Repeat to yourself:

I am taking care of myself.

I am loving myself.

I am in control of my actions.

I am in control of my dreams.

I am in control of my goals.

I am in control of how I see me and how the world sees me.

I forgive what is out of my control because

I love ME.


Keep telling yourself these words till you start believing them. Every morning and every night repeat these to yourself.

The first steps to finding you, is to forgive yourself because...

YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG! You have made choices and actions based on what was presented to you and the knowledge you had on how to handle it. Life is hard sometimes, but we cannot allow the things in our lives to control us. Now you are aware, so the next time you find yourself in a bad head space or a pain flare, remind yourself "this too shall pass". All you can do is forgive what is out of your control and act, on what is in your control to love yourself.
